Started Strong, Ended Rough

Saturday breakfast date with Pappy.

So much to choose from.  Biscuits and gravy with coffee for me.  I wasn't feeling 100%, so this was my comfort food.

Somewhere buried under there were some eggs and potatoes.

When I am up to par, I would like to go back just for dessert!  It sounds like a Wammyville Moms date night.

I came home and put on my comfy clothes, and took to the bed...as Leanne Morgan would say.  The dogs were glad for the change to snuggle inthe covers with me.

I kept looking for it, but once again we were robbed!

Gabe shared a game that he got for Christmas with all the Preschool yahoos.

Bailey and her new wooden shape bracelets.

Avery could build until the cows come home.

We read Sadie and the Snowman.  Last year, we read this story and then saved snow for the class to use this year when they build their first snowman.  So far, no luck, but I'm still doing the Snow Dance.

We did this activity in Whiz Kids as a science project. It might be something the yahoos would like to do.

They were amazed by it.

We paint with all sorts of things, Q-Tips included.

Learning some life skills.

snowmen and snowballs

A group activity about the days of the week.

Writing in the snow ( shaving cream).

Bailey is just tall enough this year!

Another first...the twins are eating 'real' food.

I'm going to need to figure out how to fit two high chairs or two seats in chairs on the schoolroom table.  It's time!

I catch them being kind, and they get a Kindness Star on their chart.  When they have five, they get a trip to the Treasure Box.

Today we had School Around The House.

Writing on the little table.

Name practice on the gray Writing Table.

Letter recognition at the end of the schoolroom table while standing.

Writing and coloring on the Art Table.

Letter Hunt finger painting on your belly.

Since we didn't have snow outside, we made some inside with Magic Snow.  One teaspoon of the magical stuff and some water, and you have enough snow to make anyone happy.  And you don't need to be all bundled up to enjoy it.

Throw in a few little penguins, and you have made their day.

They could have played for hours longer, but it was close to lunch, and I knew clean-up was going to take a few minutes.

I got out the seatbelts and strapped the twins to chairs for lunch on a trial basis.

They loved it.  I sat at the end of the table, ready to catch whoever decided to wiggle out of their seat.  Luckily, they were happy where they were.

Jase loves to dress up!

Friday came, and another sinus headache for me.  I wish it would jsut snow and get it overwith.  This up and down of the weather is about to drive me crazy.  So all the lights in the house were off, and the only light the boys had to play in the snow was from a camping lantern.  They loved it.

Miss Carolyn dropped off a huge box of bows and things that kept the girls busy until their parents came to pick them up.
