Soft Opening Day 1
The teacher had to go back for meetings this week, so Wammyville opened for the year. We have named these days as soft openings. Not all the yahoos are here, and they don't get here too early.
Marli, the second graduate of Wammyville, came for a visit and to lend a helping hand. She had grown into a very amazing big 'kid'. She is now a junior, which is so hard for me to believe! She drives herself to Cincinnati School for the Performing Arts, SCPA, where she is a Technical Theatre Lighting major. I love it when she comes to visit!
Everyone helped pull out all the toys from behind the barn. They scrubbed until they couldn't scrub anymore. Bonus...if they scrubbed it to the best of their ability, they earned control of the hose to rinse off the bubbles.
They worked.
And worked.
And worked a little bit more.
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Everything was totally dried off, and then rain came to rinse it one more time.
Art with the girls. Adding some colorful art to these old gray walls.
While the girls were in the AC, the boys were setting a trap for the snake that lives in the backyard. This pic makes me cry! I think it is the best Wammyville pic EVER! I hope someday when they are older, they will reenact it, and I hope I am around to see it. They had set their trap and were sitting so still and so quiet, waiting for the snake.
The gang is now referred to as the
BACKYARD BROTHERS
(they really aren't, but they feel like they are brothers)
Levi, Avery (they are actual brothers), Gabe, and Jase
In order to cool off, they headed for the basement and came upstairs in some pretty amazing outfits. They love a good dress-up.
