"Con-Structure' Week
But first, a day of trying to catch something...a chipmunk, a bird, anything! After waiting for what they thought were years, they gave it up and moved on to something else.
They were hard at work, trying to remember which were numbers and which were letters. They all passed with flying colors.
Everyone is hard at work during table time.
I tried something different today. First, we rolled balls into snakes and laid them on the lines. Then they traced the lines.
This is what they are calling their con-structure. A mix of structures in construction. I love it!
I'm thinking we might use glue bottles a little more. Lots of muscles go into getting that glue out of the bottle.
She never gave up!
They were all so proud.
Bridger shared some of his construction vehicles from his birthday. They did great with the playdough.
Gabe, a preschool graduate, came to visit for the day. He loves a good worksheet.
The glue stick master.
Finally Thursday showed up and we pulled out the hammers, nails, tape measures, screwdrivers and screws and a little paint and they went to town.
Safety first!
The Supervisor made an appearance.
I could kick myself for not getting a shot of the final products.
Construction Day is always a big hit. They start asking about it when the weather turns warm.
BEST DAY EVER
