You Know What A Teacher Inservice Day Means...

Right off the bat, we had a catastrophe!  Avery literally got stuck in the mud!  His boot was full of mud and it took me a few good tugs to get him out.  Mind you he was warned that the mud was deep not two minutes before I heard him yelling.

The easel came out of the barn.  It is always a big hit.

Avery was finally able to get his boot off but...

We sprayed them clean on the inside and put them on the coneflowers to dry.

Beckett found a cardinal feather.

Levi better not grow too much more or he won't fit in the wagon.

Charade games with Pappy with Ellie and Adi as judges.

Pictionary

Levi reading his favorite book, Good Night Moon.

Ellie loves to bring lesson plans with her when she gets to spend the day.

She read The Giving Tree.

Adi had a few lessons up her sleeve too.  Everything they planned was apple-related to go along with our preschool theme.

Full tables for the lunch bunch today.

Adi's turn to be the guest reader.  She chose to read, Have You Seen My Invisible Dinosaur, because she knows the boys love a good dinosaur book and activity.

She had us all draw a picture of our dinosaurs.  This was Levi's.

Jase's came with a volcano.

Louie's dinosaur must have been in Jase's neighborhood.

Avery drew a rainbow dinosaur.

Gabe and Avery love a good rainbow.

Adi gave us all a refresher on how to write capital and lowercase D.  She even had us write words that began with the letter D.

I was amazed that everyone paid attention and for the most part did what they were asked to do.  Ellie did have to use me as crowd control once.

After all that schooling on a day off from school, we headed to the backyard while the littles took a nap.

The girls chose to paint rocks instead of hanging with the boys.
