Oh No!

 Believe me, I have no earthly idea how in the world this happened.  I couldn't even give you a good guess.

With my old eyes, I saw a piece of dirt or stick and I would clean the sink later.

This is the underneath side of the sink.

This is the underneath side on the way to the dumpster.  A real blowout!

And this is the new sink thanks to Pappy and Jon Milligan.  A few tweaks and the bathroom will look new.  I think some painting is due this summer.
