Left Eye Report

Mark and I left early for CEI.  My left eye also needed a cataract removed. Wonderful care from the minute I entered the building to the time I was escorted to the car which was less than 30 minutes.  A couple of different things happened this time.   Last surgery I came right out and could see definitions in the leaves on the trees and there were only single buildings.

This time it was like looking through a dirty clear plastic shower curtain.  And I felt like there is a metal burr in there.

I had to have a tension ring put in.  Dr. Shockman described it as...your eye is shaped like an M&M.  We take out the cataract and insert the lens.  It is like a trampoline with springs.  My springs were a little tired so the tension ring was put in to hold things in place.  I watched a YouTube video about it and it is awesomely amazing!

So for the next month or so, I will be putting eye drops in both eyes.  And of course, they are on different schedules.

When I first went in my eyesight was 20/40.  The day after surgery it is 20/30.  I am hoping by the next visit it is 20/15 like the right eye.
