First Preschool Day Of the New Year

And boy was everyone excited to be back.  The good news is that they worked really hard and listened very well.  The bad news is that I should have upped my game and had more for them to do.

This is our Good Things jar.
Whenever we someone doing something nice for someone else we write what we saw and the date.  Then at the end of the month, we will get them all out and read them.  Let me just tell you that these boys were all over it today.  Jase even saw me doing a nice thing for Gabe and he asked if I could write it down for him.  This is just the first day but I think it will be a hit in the coming months.

Olaf must be dressed properly for the day.

Levi wanted to show us what he found in Florida...a coconut holder.

This is one of my favorite snow-themed books.

I added a new element to the Under-The-Chair-Baskets.  This week there are snowmen heads with numbers 1-20.  When they have finished something we are doing they can choose something from their baskets until all of us are ready to go on to the next activity.

Working those little fingers with a hole punch.  Gabe loves this pink hole punch.  It has the smallest holes.  It is amazing how their little minds work.

Jase figured out really fast that if you folded your paper you could get your hole punch to all the items.

Levi figured if he made a tunnel with his hole punches he could eventually get to the object.  Great thinkers. I predict they will both be some type of engineer when they grow up.

Dollar Tree find!

And they love it.

Gabe concentrates on matching lower and upper case letters.

Levi doing the same.

Jase adding the details to his snowman.

These boys love to craft!  That is putting it mildly!  So today we painted snowmen.  All different.  All cute.  My goal is to have a cool craft every Tuesday because these boys love a good craft!

Levi checking out the new snowman activity.

Jase had begun to love writing words.

Gabe's free-hand purple snowman.

Levi working on the chalkboard writing snowy words.

Jase drew a snowman that is holding some chocolate.

Levi loves it!  We talked about making his letter a little smaller so he could get all the letters of the word on the same line.

S-U-C-C-E-S-S, that's the way we spell success.

Gabe signing his name to his blizzard!

All the boys today watching Hot Wheels before the girls get off the bus.
