We Tried It And It Worked

But first some pics of this little cutie.

Bailey is learning to pick up toys just like the others.  And she does an amazing job.

She loves to dance!

Time to begin decorating around here.

We love a good paper chain put together.

Let the gluing begin.

The paper chain and stars look great in the doorway.

A giant star made out of lunch bags.

Mark found these bags...tho only ones they say will work...at Dollar General.

This was our first attempt.  There is a learning curve.  We learned that you need to draw on the entire bottom of the cup.

Then it is best that you draw with permanent markers on the biggest sections of the cup.

If you are really careful you can draw around the circles...ridges in the cup.

We started melting one cup at a time.

Then we decided on two cups in the oven at once.  I'm guessing that if you had a bigger baking sheet you could do lots of multiples.

It really doesn't take too long.  These guys were so patient.

Their job was to let me know when the cups were flat.

As soon as they were pulled from the oven I put the 'bacon smasher' on them to totally flatten them out.  Some of the first ones came out with a bent edge.  They cool so fast that you are not able to smooth the wrinkles out.

They love them!

We read a new elf book.  And it has a picture search in the back.

I'm guessing because they were all up a little later because they had Life Group the night before and the crazy Christmas critters have gotten into their systems...they were crazy!  So we all got our jackets and shoes on and went outside.  I counted how many laps they could run the perimeter of the front yard.

Jase did 8 laps and then crashed.  This kid never takes a nap.

Gabe did the next highest with 4 if I remember right.

I think Levi might have made three.
Running the front yard might be my new favorite activity.  You know we will be doing it all winter even in the snow!

After school, we had to show the moms and Adi how to melt cups.
