Come Rain or Shine

It was such a gloomy day and spring is officially here so I really don't think I was rushing it too much but out came all the yellow!

Shapes are in the books.  Now we might work on 3D shapes.

We cut sunshine.  We dobbed ray of sunshine.

We talked and wrote about the sun.

Levi wanted to play one of his favorite games.  Last chance little buddy.

The lunchroom looked a smidge different today.  New table arrangement.

We tried again in the afternoon to brighten things up with lots of sunny activities.

Look at him cutting that circle and look at how well his arms turned out!  Makes this Wammy so happy.

Asher takes his time to make sure that he doesn't cut off any fingers.

Louie is ready to dob!

Jase is adding a little more color to his.

Switching it up to 10 frames by doing it in your favorite color of the day.  And it is on the 'cafeteria/lunchroom' table.

I love watching those little minds at work.

And then their minds were blown.  Did you know that you could use washable markers on a piece of glass and then put a magic piece of paper under it and see what you actually wrote?

They are going to be so ready for school next fall!

A little art along with some spelling.

Then what should appear next door at Mr. Bill's...a firetruck.  We stood outside in the grass as long as we could.  It began to poor so we retreated to the porch.  Then the rain began to come down sideways so we had to stand in the doorway.  We waited and waited.

We were rewarded by getting to look in the firetruck.  We asked questions.  Told the firefighters that we knew some pretty special firefighters.  That was interesting.  Mr. Bill and Ms. Jan can down to see what was going on and to help with crowd control.  Our little teachable moment field trip didn't last long because they got a call.  They did give us badges and they turned on the lights and honked as they pulled away.  Thank you Miami Township Firefighters for making our day a little brighter.
