Ava Turns 6 And Stone Soup

 Today was a very busy day.  Lots of interesting things, one sick little buddy, and some amazing cupcakes for Ava's birthdy.

 

Book of the Day...Stone Soup...you know what that means.

We are doing a little cooking!

And everyone helps.

And this is it.  Perfect.  Ready for the Instant Pot.

We continued 'cooking'.  Well, we were making snow.

Ali gave us some magic snowflake dust.

An entire tub of warm snow.

In the afternoon we retold the story in the boys words.  They were good listeners.

One of the best purchases of this year...BINGO markers or dobbers as we call them.

We have one little buddy cutting teeth and they are doing him in.  But getting to sit with his best buddy under a quilt with Ollie is the best medicine.

A a little bit of magic meds helped a lot.  And a good nap did wonders.

They were checking on each other.

And then more snow.

And it was time to sample the Stone Soup.

Everyone took a no-thank-you-bite.

And this year we added a side of Tater Tots.

Not sure anyone was thrilled but they all gave it their best shot.

Today was also Ava's 6th birthday.  Mark went to a new bakery in town.  They were wonderful!  And I might have gotten a little cheesecake also for my midnight snack.

Avery is feeling a little bit better.

You can tell that he still doesn't feel the best.

I went to bed with this on the ground.  The report was a dusting.  So I didn't stay up too late to wait for the flakes to arrive.
