Very Qualified Assistances

November has come in like gang-busters.  Lots of excitement for sure!

Schools were closed so the kids got a day off but teachers still had to report.  Teaching the younger generation the art of making a Candy Bar Pie.

Everyone helped!

After we got the pies in the oven it was time for Carly's Art Lesson.

Ellis standing in the wings so she can be the teacher with lesson plans and all.  She even had a teacher cup to put her water in.

Carly helped Louie with his table work.

These guys are serious about their art.

We took a little timeout to do some yoga.

Ellie read a book.

She even had puzzles!

Jase was pretty excited when he got everything in the right place.

Ellis came well prepared.

This craft was way cute.  And everyone did a great job.  Pic later in the blog.

And the Candy Bar Pies are out and the house smells wonderful.

Ellie giving last-minute instructions for flower making.

These are lovely!  We might need to make more.

Outside for some energy run-off.  It was a little chilly and they weren't used to it.  Lots of complaining about being cold.  My answer...if you run you will get warm.  Amazing how that works.  And the hammock got a real workout.

We can now find Avery anywhere he goes.

I think they ae warming up.

Someone got a good idea.  Let's build a tent city!

Gabe says it is moving day.

The Assistants got to go with Pappy to make a food drop at MMM.

I don't know who was more excited, the girls or the ladies working at the Pantry.

The girls got right to work unloading the items from the church.

The ladies were nice enough to give them a tour of the whole facility.

When the 'workers' got back from the pantry I introduced everyone to Reading Rainbow.  Boy, I was traveling down memory lane when our kids were little.  And they like it!

Even the big kid over there at the table enjoyed the book.

It's lunchtime!

Pappy and his littlest buddy.

The girls ate at the school table.

We made pumpkins out of toilet paper rolls and fat quarters.

Adilyn helped Asher.

Carly Rae helped Louie.

Ellie helped Jase.

The schoolroom was packed today.

All ready for storytime.

We read The Golden Acorn which is one of my favorite.

We always finish with an acorn scavenger hunt that includes a                                               golden acorn.

And they found it!
