Apples Are Everywhere

One of my favorite 'apple' books.

It's not all play in Wammyville.  You need to finish your work before we get to the fun stuff.  Sometimes you have homework.  But today we managed to get through it.

A new manipulative came in the mail during preschool.  It is a hit!

Clothespins are a great way to work those small motor muscles.

We also read Donald Crews book, 10 Black Dots.

Working those little hands again with hole punches.

And then the fun began.  We tried balancing one apple on our heads.  I was amazed that they could do it!

It was really balanced on his head.  Maybe I just got lucky and got the shot before he dropped it.

This is one serious 'balancer.'

This took FOREVER!

But this was a breeze.

We got the special slicer/corer and ate a few slices.  Then we talked about the apple core and all the other parts.  They decided that they wanted to save the seeds so we dissected the core.
