Rafting The Nantahala

I like these rules.

I made cinnamon and sugar donuts for breakfast this morning.

We just took it easy this morning...resting up for the afternoon.

Alaire worked on art.

Ellis made us all Green Monster Panini sandwiches for lunch...his latest creation.

We dropped a rock in the neighborhood Little Free Library.

Reservations for rafting were scheduled for 2pm.  We had to get there an hour early to get checked in and all the other things that need to be done before you can even board the bus.

Making sure all the paperwork is in order.

Everyone getting the orders from headquarters also known as the 'Saftey Talk".
'Toes up, nose up!'

Snug and ready to go.

Trevor looks like a fly with those shades.

Heading for the bus.

And they are off.

Mark and had already scouted out some spots where we could get some action shots.  While we waiting he made new friends and we worked on our tans.

Here they come down the river... backward.

Cassie sees us.

"Look it's Wammy and Pappy."

And there they go and we are off to find a spot down where the Class three rapids begin.

Here they come ready to tackle the big stuff on the River.

A video for proof that they had a ball!
I think they are hooked!

We made a few friends while driving up the mountain.  They stayed with us until after dinner.

Cassie and I made peach cobbler!  Yumm

Tonight's sunset wasn't as pretty as last night's.
