Last Day, Fun Day

Our last sunset was a lot like the rest...clouded /smoked in but we didn't care.  It was still beautiful.

I had a blackberry cobbler while everyone else had boring (but good) eggs, sausage, and biscuits.

We dropped the mountain bikers off about an hour away for the ride of their lives.  They said it was great fun!  Hard but lots of fun.

The rest of us headed to Outdoor 76, one of our favorite Outfitters in Franklin, NC

We ALWAYS have a pic taken out front!!

And look what I found!

We had to have one more Dreamy Whip so we headed back to Darnell's.

Lunch by the Tuckasegee River.

It was so peaceful!

Alaire and I got our big girl cameras.

We found Tiger Swallowtails.

And diamonds on the leaves.

A little river walk.

Sometimes the rocks don't look slick but they are.

The AT crossed the road at the bottom of the mountain.  As you can see I am not too happy that we need to go back to reality.

Mark found his home in the woods.

68 acres

Just needs a little work.

If you zoom in really close you can see the "moose" at the top of the mountain.  Actually, Mark figured out that is it the Fire Tower on Wesser Bald on the AT.  We still call it the moose.

Alaire's watercolor of the moose.

This is our cabin, Above It All.

Trevor's watercolor of the cabin that we had framed and left for the owners.

Heading down the mountain for the last time.
