And We Are Finished (Almost)

Here is the finished kitchen.  I am. in awe of how different it looks and how much I love it.

Amazing what you can do if you have a vision and you can find someone that can bring it to life!

I'm not going to say that it was easy sailing through the process on my part.  We had yahoos that needed to be kept safe and out of the way.  Somedays we had to go all the way to Plan F!

We needed to cook on the camp stove which was fun of my part for the first few weeks.  Then the weather turned a little rainy and then it became a challenge.  But our village made sure that we ate.

We added this area at the end because it was wasted space.  And then you had to have shelves above to make it look right.

We debated on the area behind the island.  Should we put in a bar with barstools or shelving?  Shelving it had to be...where else was I going to put my cobalt blue bottles!

Having the dishwasher on the other side of the sink was something that we knew we wanted to do.

I call the look...Clean Country.
Ha, I just thought of that.

I have dreamed of having a pantry at the end of the kitchen since the first day we moved in.  Wait for it...

It could not have turned out more wonderful.  Sensable storage on both sides and pretty storage in the middle.

And in the snap of my finger, it can be turned into the preschool cafeteria.

Thanks, Ben and Cy for all the hard work and for putting up with me through all of this.  Thanks to Joe for making the perfect cabinets.  And the Teacher's Lounge is better than I could have ever imagined.  Matt, I loved my red barn walls but this gray is awesome.  You were right! Your painting skills amaze me.  Cy, please tell you, father-in-law, he is our electrician on call from now on.  He is a miracle worker.  Cassie, you did an awesome job juzzing up the pantry with all the dishes and 'stuff' that I love. And thank you to the Wammyville families for taking care of us! And our neighbors for understanding the noise, chaos, cars, and trucks parked along the street and all the craziness you heard coming from the back yard.

Now I am off to make some zucchini bread.  Hope I remember where I put the things that I need!
