Day Two

Our morning started with a little rock painting.  I told the kids that I needed to paint some rocks to secretly place in backpacks that our church was going to give out later in the summer.  They were all in!

First breakfast was pop tarts and blueberry muffins.  The second course was bacon and eggs.

Group shot under the big blue top...minus Michael...he was probably sleeping.

Emmy came up with a great way to keep them occupied out of the water.  A Beach Scavenger Hunt (notice all the boogie boards lined up).  The boundaries were two beach houses. And you were not allowed in the water at any time. Winners were the team that found the coolest item on the beach.  Each of us kept an eye on a team so they were never out of our sight.   The following videos tell of their treasures.....

Team Safi

Team PJ and Davi

Team Ernie and Ellis

Team Alaire and Fiona

And the winners are....

A few hammock tricks before and afternoon at the Water Park.

90 minutes of fun

And Davi just made the height cut.  He was happy and so were the rest of us.

Break for some pistachios.

Special cookies that Emmy and Cassie ate when they visited Andrea.

Hitting the beach after lunch.  A little popsicle cool-down.

I don't care if you live on the equator, you will get sunsscreened up!

The people beside us saw a sea turtle swimming right where we were camped out.  We all raced down to the edge of the water to see what we could see.  Nope long gone by the time we got there.

Trevor's masterpiece.

'My Hero', Andrea's husband making beans and rice.  We all had trouble either remember his name or pronouncing it so from now on he answers to 'My Hero'.  His rice and beans are REALLY GOOD!

Patiently waiting for the rice and beans.

Check out this lunch spread.  We eat well at the beach!

We taught Davi a new song!

After dinner, it was off to Haley's ice cream.  This was my dad's favorite place.  He liked the ice cream and the big rockers by the window.

The pier

On the porch at Haley's.

What a crumb bunch.

Davi loved the hermit crabs.

They had really pretty painted shells.

Then we walked out on the pier.  Just happened that the guy at the end of the pier caught a little 'Baby Shark'.

This is the best shot.  Makes me smile so big.

Another big day in the books!
