Trying To Get The AT Blogs Finished
I am just a little behind posting but there are so many great pics to go through and it is hard to choose. There could be a giant dump at the end when it is all said and done. But for now...Here is July 1.
Alaire accidentally found this huge spider!
She literally jumped two feet in the air when she put her hand under the table to lean against it.
Biggest spider I have ever seen.
Packed up (again) and headed for Acadia which was only a couple hours away.
Nothing but blue skies and sunshine all the way. Nothing on this road at all...out in the middle of Nowhere's Ville.
But first a stop at our favorite breakfast diner.
Just in a little strip mall but it is always packed!
The servings are huge!
We visited an Outfitter that was right down the street. I got this shot for Mark so we can build one in our backyard for the kayaks to have a home behind the barn.
The first thing we see when we get to the campground is the jellyfish that are swimming in the water right in front of our site. No swimming in the Sound for us.
Ellis and Alaire found the perfect spot for the hammocks.
Our view for a few days.
Mark gave up the electric for a campsite by the water. It was small and we could only set up half of our regular things but that's okay.
New to us...these coins each represent 5 minutes of hot water for a shower. Total shower time is about 7 minutes.
They worked and worked and worked on getting these hammocks just right.
Dinner...sloppy Joes, chips, fruit and oatmeal pies.
Our fire starter.
There are no bugs and a nice breeze. This is how I spent my evening watching the kids do tricks in the hammocks.
