Rain, Rain, Go Away!

AT Cafe again because it is pouring and because we like it.

I want to do this for the basement...now known as the AT Cave.  I have a vision but it may take a while to get it accomplished.

He LOVES this waffel.

Believe it or not, I got an omelet.

This is a cinnamon donut!  It is as big as a softball!

Remember our story about HAWK the Thru-hiker?  There he is with the class of 2019.

More rain.  There is a sone about Maine some of the hikers sing...
It is called Roots and Rocks but we changed the wording a little bit.

Rocks and rain.
Rocks and rain.
That's all Maine's got...
Is rocks and rain.

Pappy decided we needed a little adventure.  First stop is loading up on drinks and snacks.  We might have taken up a parking space at McDonald's long enough to download another book...Navigating Early or it could have been Absolutely Truly.

Luna moths were everywhere.

Painted on a rock by the bathroom.

One of our bazillion little friends.

A cross in memory of all the loggers that have been killed.

We were doing what I call Moose-er-neckin' out all the windows in the truck.  And guess who spotted our one and only moose...good old eagle eye...ME!!

Look really close and you will see the only moose we saw on the trip.

A variety of vetch.

Our tour guide for finding the moose,

If we hadn't seen any moose we were going to use these two shots of some moose photos we had found in our travels.
