Road Trip To Lexington For A Concert

 Mark and I took a little road trip to Lexington, with a side trip to Wilmore.  We couldn't go to Kentucky without checking special places... 

Some of you will know exactly where this is.  The Y in the road...one way to Asbury and the other to ICHTHUS.

When the girls went here it was called Asbury College.  And that was their dorm in the background...Glide-Crawford.

Had to take a ride down Main Street.

What would a trip to Wilmore be without a stop at WalMart!  Spent many an hour in this place.

You can't really see the log cabin but it is my dream house.  Sits off the road, by a creek, and the landscaping is amazing.  Heaven on earth!

Now the reason for the road trip...a little concert...anniversary celebration continues.

Lexington Opera House

This was between every other seat.

Great concert.  Very personal.  The story of his career through music.

And now I am listening to his book.  He tells a lot of the same stories but with more detail.  And some stories that he didn't share in the concert.

It was worth the late night and the drive back home.  We survived the next day in Wammyville with no problem.  But we probably went to bed a little after dinner.  We aren't as young as we once were!
