First Ice Storm
Because it was icy and rainy this morning Mark took Michael to school. When he came back he reported that the corner neighbor had a few limbs down due to the ice storm. As soon as it got light I saw what his definition of a few was. I'd say that was a lot.
While I was enjoying my coffee at the kitchen table he says Jan come here. this is what he saw. I hope my little snowflake magnolia is okay. I have a feeling that we might be planting a new something in its place in the spring.
The ice looks so pretty on everything.
And I just got word that Meadowview Elementary is on a two-hour delay because they have no power. One of my mom's morning meeting has been canceled so I might just curl up in the chair with a quilt and my book for a while.
Not ten minutes after the last pic was taken I was out in the driveway giving Adi her coat that she had forgotten and I heard a crack and then watched the second limb fall. And then a third one fell just missing the rabbit hutch. Mark says they may just have to wait until spring to get cleaned up. Not according to Jon Milligan! We have the best friends!
