Happy Pappy Day

For two years we have had to listen to how everyone else he knows has had a retirement party, how they have been birthday bashes...poor is me kind of thing.  So with the help of my good friends, the Mark's family and the kids, we planned a surprise Happy Everything Party.  It had been in the works for a month or more.  Everyone had a job and everything was hush, hush.  We were doing so well.  Friday came and Cassie and her crew were making a pit stop (wink, wink) on their way to see my dad.  Mark had made plans to help with an Eagle Scout Project for 8-noon  on Sat.  Perfect!  Giving us time to get everything done and up the street.  Cassie and crew left to see Peep...actually they went to the Bagel Store in Eastgate for breakfast.

We were all working at full throttle cooking, making decorations, and staging the front yard like I had been weeding, when much to our surprise Mark walks in the house around 10AM.  We didn't know what to say.  Ellis was the one to speak for all of us.  When Mark asked why they were still here, Ellis pipes up in this little sweet voice and said...Peep took ill.

So here is how it played out.

Don't look now MArk but Matthew might be a few inches taller than you now.

Delicious food provided by all!

Sam had a great time with Jen's cool construction toys.

Saffi had a new dew...breadtie piggies.

Can he be any cuter!

All the bases covered...chocolate cake with chocolate icing and white cake with white icing.

The three amigos or stooges if you want.

Ellis bought his gift a long time ago.  Just knew it was the perfect thing.  So proud and excited about it.

The party minus Tom who was behind the camera.
