Got My Fingers "Painted" Today

And that is just because I am a messy, impatient painter.

Finally, a day that we could all get together!  I was so happy to see these ladies.  There is always fun when you get us around a table of rocks.

We had a few new comers.  It was nice to g\see a guy join us.  And we didn't scare him away because I asked him if he was coming back next time and he said yes with a big smile on his face!

Each time we meet we seen new and improved set-ups.

Some of the earliest rocks of the day...some finished and some in stages of being complete.

We have all different talents and that's what makes it fun.  Almost all of us have Rock Pinterest Board.

This is really serious business.  Sometimes we don't even stop for a snack.

And here is our set-up for this session. 4 rectangular tables and one round.  A new addition this time...linen table cloths...and it doesn't matter if they get paint on them.  So much nicer than the plastic ones.

We supply everything that you need.  All you have to do is come with a smile and some ideas in your head.  You will be amazed at how creative you are.

And of course, there are snacks.

Young and old enjoyed the morning.

This rock spoke to its artist to be an alligator.  Or was that a crocodile.!  Don't know which but I just know it is awesome.

Every rock gets a clear coating of some kind of sealant so when the rocks are out in the weather the paint stays on.

Just look at all those ideas.

We use every shape and size of rock.

So glad that the church put down the plastic for us...actually the church is being painted and it was already there.  Worked out perfectly for us.

And there is a lefty.  When she came in she asked if there were any left-handed rocks.  Ha, ha...I like her.

I love to go around to each table to see where our artist's minds are.  You can tell from what they are painting.

Sometimes you have to sit and watch the paint dry.

I love this lineup!

I have decided that an apron is a really great idea.

My brother-in-law had some business cards and magnets made up for me.  I shared some with the ladies.

And this is our offering for the day.  So Milford and surrounding areas, be ready to be ROCKED!

Please if you should find one of these rocks...take a picture and post it on Milford Rocks on Facebook... just plain Milford Rocks.

There is a little confusion as to which Milford Rocks to post pics to...  It may take the administrator (Ayrie) a bit to post so please be patient and check often..  If you just can't part with the rock, you are allowed to keep it as long as you paint one to replace it and then you hide it.

And today I realized something.  This silly bunch of rock painters are becoming a community.  We all have stories...some are able to share and some are not...we are a safe place where we hope everyone feels comfortable.  Some are listeners, some just need to vent.  Some need to know they are not the only ones going through tough times.  We are all in the boat together.

Come join us next month.  When the date is set I will be sure to let you all know.  Now go and paint rocks and hide them.  And you might as well look for some also.  It is equally fun to find a rock!  Don't forget to post a picture to Milford Rocks on Facebook.

A good thing to remember and ever better, a good thing to do!
