Day Three...AT 14 State Challenge Adventure

Surrounded by these beauties!  I am in paradise!

Cooking again!

Lighting the fire to cook bacon.

Taught him the Peggy Jeffery way to cook bacon.  Just throw it all in the skillet and let her cook.

Pancakes

It just would do unless we actually bought peaches in GA.

Happy Fourth of July!

We stopped on the side of the mountain to watch the local idiots jump off the rocks into the water.  WE lasted a few minutes watching.  I was so nervous someone was going to be killed!

Just spent a fun day checking out the area.

My kind of place!  And nope...didn't spend a penny.  Oh but Mark wanted to...and so did Alaire.

Made it to Franklin, NC for a visit to one of our favorite outfitters...Outdoor 76.  We just missed the big parade.

Someone found our rocks and posted pics on the FaceBook page...Milford Rocks.  We get so excited when people post pics.  I think I used lots of data trying to see when people posted.

Ellis wanted some cool hiking socks so we went to a town called Cashiers but found no socks he likes.

Lunch time and we aren't back at the home place so we had to eat out.  Might have left a rock here too.  And we wanted a really funny waitress to get it but one of the other people working there found it.

It was so hard to keep a straight face while overhearing the conversation everyone was having about the rock.

They are scheduling a rock painting party so they can share the love (smiles).

Ellis loves a good BBQ!

Alaire, not so much.

I traded Ellis for his kid's meal.

An appetizer what was enough for all four of us to eat for lunch.

Back on the road again.  Gee, look what a little sugar does to these two.

Made it home in plenty of time to fix dinner.  Pappy's favorite, hot dogs, and corn on the cob.

Blister Queen

Oh, I forgot to mention the peach cobbler.

We went to bed with very full tummies!
