Day One: AT 14 State Challenge Adventure

Minutes after dropping Michael off for Summer Camp we were on the road to continue our AT 14 State Challenge Adventure...with Ellis and Alaire joining us!  Camping, hiking and making memories with the grands!  Are we cra-cra?  Sometimes I began to wonder!

We were packed to the gills!  Thank heavens for a large truck!

Books on tape are the usual for us when we travel lots of miles.  Cassie as in charge of finding our books and downloading them on to her old phone.  Ain't technology grand!

And we do this all the way through.

It was getting pretty out the windows.

Oh no!  So this means that everything...I mean everything dealing with cooking...and I mean everything down to the dishtowels that we used had to be stored in containers and then stored inside the truck.

As usual, we set the tent in the dark.  Maybe going all the way to GA wasn't the best idea on the first day.  But we made it without doing bodily harm to each other.

And they are out!
