Lending A Helping Hand

We have some neighbors up the street and around the corner that have a 'stick dump'.  They have been wanting to clean it up for awhile.  But now is not the time.  The dad just spent some time in the hospital and the wife says he is a no go for this kind of yard work.  The kids are great to help out.  You drive by just about any weekend and as a family, they are all working in the yard.  So we became, what I like to call 'stick dump fairies'.  Last night while the family was away Mark and I snuck down and filled the black truck three times.  Bzak loves us.  The mulch you have in your yard most likely comes from one of the millions of trips we have made to Bzak for the 11 years we have lived here.  Then today while they were preparing to come home from the hospital we filled the truck another 4 times.  We go a lot accomplished because we had extra hands...

A special treat, riding int he back of the truck up the street in the subdivision.

Notice the purple garden gloves.

She always chose the biggest stick in the pile!

She thought she was hot stuff!  She worked right alongside us and never complained one time.  Hard worker this one!

We had to make a little side trip to the Township for more yard waste vouchers.  WE also had to stop and see the ladies in the Rec Dept.  They let her get out the toys to play with while we chatted.  And she got to bring home some really cool books.  Headed to do one more load before lunch and a well-deserved nap for all of us.
