When The Relatives Came
Got a call from my Aunt Dory saying she was going to be a great-grandma soon and she needed the plantation bed for her son's daughter's baby. I love that bed. I hated to see it go but I feel like the 'new owner' will love it as much as I do. Maybe someday it will make its way back to me.
My cousin, Kim, drove the 'old farts' down for just a bit...stopping along the way at one of my favorites stops on Rt 32...Keim Family Market. We had lunch and then went to play with the animals for just a bit...not long enough at all.
First order of farm business was feeding the chickens a little snack through the Cluck-Thru.
Kim is an animal lover...two legs, four legs...really doesn't matter to her. She is a pretty darn good chicken wrangler too.
She was able to catch quite a few of the girls. And she didn't get pooped on, not even once.
Boot getting up close and personal with Aunt Judy's camera.
Gladys got caught and didn't know what to do.
But she finally calmed down and spent some time on Aunt Judy's lap.
Aunt Judy, Aunt dory, and cousin Kim...and I always thought I got my smiling squint from my mom!
Remember the mention of Keim Family Market on Rt 32? Some of the BEST and BIGGESTt glazed donuts I have ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE. And I have a whole box of them!
Kim has MEGA creative juices coming out of ever pore in her body. She is amazing. I dream of doing the things she does. She brought me some more little pumpkins to go with my collections of candy corn pieces and other pumpkins.
And this was my breakfast this morning. So big it might take me three days to eat it all.
