Big Scout Clean-Up and Out

The Troop is getting ready for two big campouts in the next two months...Caving near Mammoth Cave and Peterloon.  We really needed to clean out the trailer and straighten theScout closet.  Today was the day.  At 10am we met and the church...and Mrs. Barringer starting handing our jobs.

I know those hands...unloading the trailer took about two seconds.

These guys worked so hard today.  So proud of them!

Now to go through it all to see what is missing, what works and what needs to be pitch...that took a little longer.

Everything needed to be scrubbed!

Then dried and put in the right Patrol Box.

Then each Patrol Box had to make sure all the inventory was there.

Check and recheck.

We took a short break for lunch.

Every knife in every Patrol Box now had a sheath.

Everything in each Patrol Box in color coded according to Patrol.

Mr. Barringer helped for slings.

Ryan Barringer, a former scout and an Eagle Scout from our troop, came to assist.

There are no idle hands when it comes to work around here.

It all comes down to teamwork!

And this is what the scout closet is supposed to look like.

Everything in its place.

I'd say that the Quartermasters have their work cut out for themselves...trying to keep it looking like this.

After all that hard work, this happened.

You just never know what you might find in the trailer!

Not the chicken!!!!

This is among the most wonderful things that I have ever seen. Many hands=light work, and a very good time indeed!
