Hike At Caesar Creek State Park
It was a beautiful day. Clear skies with a little bit of a wind. Perfect foe hiking. So we headed out for another adventure. I thought we were going to East Fork Lake to hike. Of no, an hour drive to Caesar Creek and it was pretty late in the day.
We even stopped to get a map...little did it help.
Finally managed to find a trail. All we knew is that we started out at the mile M spot.
Oh my, can you say just a bit muddy! Ha! A lot muddy would be a better statement.
Not really too much to see. The forest is still sleeping.
It was a good thing we both had our trekking poles.
It was getting a little late and darkness was closing in fast. I suggested that we yellow blaze back to the van so we would get caught on the trail after dark. I left two headlamps in the van. Mark had his with him but the battery was out. Not good prep for this adventure.
What a nature lover!
Made is back in one piece and alive!
First hike for the new boots.
2.26 miles (seemed like twice that) in a little over an hour. Not the best but it was fun to go to a different place. I'd like to go back when it is dry and green.
