Meeting Sam

We gave Sam about a week to get adjusted to his new surrounding, Tini time to recuperate a bit from her C-section and we gave the Martini family plenty of quality time with him since it is the first grandchild and nephew on Tini's side. But last Friday night it was our turn.

And here he is.  He is so tiny.  Wammyville has baby dolls that are bigger and weigh more than he does.  His color is good.  Reflexes  and amount he is eating are good.  He just needs a little time to bulk up,  just like most babies.  Guess I am just use to seeing 7-8 pound babies when they are born.  Tini's brothers and sisters were small also.

He's a great sleeper.  The dogs barking didn't bother him.  Not even the fireworks at the Great American Ball Park disturbed his shut eye.

His hair is long and it has a bit of a red tint to it.  We will just have to wait and see.

He has Martini feet (little..about an inch and a half long) but Ellis big hands.

Precious little round head.

Long, long, long blonde eye lashes.

And he is a great face maker.  He squishes up his face with each gas pain...

and then smiles when he farts...just like a boy!

I did get to see his eyes a few times.

But not for long.

He had to get back to work growing and bulking up.

He eats like a little pig!!!  It won't be long until he is wearing newborn clothes.

I'm in heaven again!
