Relay For Life 2015

When it rains it really pours!  It has to be raining pretty hard for Michael to even consider wearing his poncho!

Logan opted to sit in the van until things were figured out.

Unloading the things from the trailer.

The younger scouts trying to figure out how to put up the dining flies.  We had about three hours for set up before the Relay started.

Even the older scouts had a little trouble trying to figure out the secret code.

You could see the dark clouds.  It looked like the rain was here to stay.

The rain calmed down around 2:30 and the boys came out at 3PM to get things around the track taken care of.  There were lots of things to do to get ready.

These little guys were troopers!

Michael was in charge of putting signs on the fence around the track.

Trying to keep the inside of the tarp as dry as possible.

It was raining so bad they let the kids go in the gym.  Some of the vendors set up in there.  I stayed out with Trish and tried to figure out the dining fly system.  We finally got it up and now we need to remember the short ones go on top to make the trusses.  I sent my camera inside with Logan to get pics of what they were doing.  So these next shots are his.

This years Relay is a little closer to home for the troop.  There are two Mom's battling cancer.

The Troop uses a Euchre Tournament to raise money.

Tent mates or as I call them sometime, The Three Stooges.  They are coming out of the hot tent to play chess and probably spend some money at the vendors.  Logan always buys me a cookie.  This year it was a key lime cookie....yummy!

Cornhole Tournament

This guy is always a big hit.  I couldn't explain it all to you if my life depended on it.  All I know is that the boys  love it and spend a lot of money and time here.

One of our scouts, Connor (not in the pic) set up video games.  He was a big hit too.

Here's Connor

The Rhorer's competing in the frozen t-shirt contest.

On their way around the track.

Home Sweet Home for the boys.

Mr. Smith reported at scout meeting last night that $15,000 was raised...I believe that is what he said.
He also commended the boys at the way they all jumped right in to help.  He also gave a big shout out to Evan for all his hard work.

Great job all around!
