Best Day Ever....All Around!

...making our annual trip to scout camp! Yea! One week where a boy can truly be a boy without his mom telling him stuff. Michael looks forward to this week more that the last day of school! And oh do they ripe they smell at the end of the week!!

We usually drive and these have become our usual passengers.  We don't know what to call the...the four stooges, NSCOUT, The Backseat Boys....we are hoping they come up with a name sometime during the week.  All happy campers talking a mile a minute!

This is what happens when you get up around 6:15AM and get dressed ready to leave.  And departure time was 10:30AM.  He swears he wasn't sleeping.  He was just resting his eyes.

I think Logan arranged him in  his seat for this one.  Michael never felt the move either.  He never heard the bird calls from this seat partner either.  Logan has a bag of tricks every time we go somewhere or do something having to do with the scouts. It amazes me how he can sleep in so many positions.  And he keeps his place in his book.  And that reminds me I better see about getting another one to take up on Family Night because he will have this one read by then.  And believe it or not...this one is required summer reading for school!  What can I say, the kid loves to read.  And I am so thankful!

Just before our stop at the Rest Stop check-in spot, we started a little game of RoadTrip Bingo.  They thought I was nuts at first but then they really got into it.  I couldn't win for nothing'.

Another tradition...stopping at KFC for lunch.  Shann always tries to see how many 'potatoes' he can eat.  He doesn't care if they are mashed or fried.  The kid can eat a million of them.  Poor Wyatt every time he turned around he was spilling a drink.  I think the employees were glad to see us go.  Don't worry, we'll be back next year.

We made it to camp and I took over 100 pictures of the tent putting up process.  And there are some others before leaving the school parking lot.  Lots of happy faces...on the boys as well as the parents.  They are on FB...Troop468-Milford, OH.
