Pitstop On The Way Home

Newest egg gatherer in the family...my sweet grand nephew.  Curt, Katelyn, and Carter spent the day at the Cincinnati Zoo and stopped off for dinner and egg gathering 101 before heading back to Huntington.  I love it when we have visitors.  Especially when they bring Heiner's bread!

Carter loved the chickens but he loved Ella more.  Sorry girls, better luck next time.

This kid is heavy...what did heat for lunch bricks!

He liked the brown eggs but the white ones looked even better.  Sorry bud the white eggs are wooden.

He could see into this one all by himself.  That was a plus.

He could get eye to eye with the chickens.

Esthelle wasn't sure that she wanted him to take her egg.

Carter thought that she was pretty funny.

Talking to the chickens.

He was all over the backyard.

Susie is not a fan of the new mosquito plant.  It seems to be in her way.

And they are headed back home.  This time next year there will be four!

We had fun but the time was just not long enough.  Emmy cooked dinner, which is always a treat.  I clean up and put everything away.  And Mark is doing the dishes as we speak.  Pretty good team work!
