Ellis Turns Nine

He's almost double digits!

 

Headed to West Lafayette, IN to help Ellis celebrate.  He was up before 7 watching for us.  We didn't leave OH until around 10.  He was driving Cassie crazy.  Good thing he can track us on her phone!

Auntie Em goes all out with her creative wrapping skills!

I see a war coming on.  (actually we did have a little battle before church on Sunday and I have to say I shut him down...I stole his guns when he wasn't looking...Ellis 0, Wammy 1)

We hand delivered Papaw's card.

He will save half and spend half. (Is that pizza sauce on his face?)

Oh Pappy was so excited about this gift.

Ellis not so sure what he is opening.

Still not a clue. 

Then someone told him they were tickets.

To a Bengals game...what the Bengals?

Why would they get me tickets to a Bengals game?

He's not a Bengals fan...so we asked him to read all the words on the page....

...the Bengals play the BRONCOS!!!!  And he is a mega HUGE Broncos fan!

This is one really excited, more than a happy camper.  Now he can bug them about how many more days until the game.  Hope he has some really warm Broncos wear (Auntie Em is seeing to that) because the game is December 22!

I love how tender he is to his sister...all she wanted to so was help him blow out the candles on his Ally Pally cake.  Nope she gets a hand in the face.
