First Soccer Of The Year

Team photos before the first game.  It was about 97 degrees...add in heat index ant it was 107 in the shade...which there wasn't any.

Lafayette Orthopaedic Clinic with coach Trevor (does he look familiar to anyone)

This was about how he felt about the heat, the log wait to play, and the shirt color.  Making it a learning experience.  I love it...you can find the team anywhere within a 5 mile radius!

Stretching was not fun I overheard one player say.  Coach Trevor shut that down really quick by saying something to the effect...do you want to play? 

These two little boys don't speak English.  Trevor did really well with them.  It made me smile to watch.

Finally some action!  Just wish I could get some shots of his face when he is dribbling the ball.

Good game..2-1  Winner, winner, chicken diner!

And on to the Ladybugs.

I see bright fancy soccer socks in our future!

And then it began to rain...drops as big a quarters.

 

Chairs became umbrellas.

One problem...Alaire's glasses kept fogging up.

Who needs to take a water break!

The rain felt good but the game got called because of thunder.  Score 0-0.
