Some Angry Water Today

So man things to tell and so little time!

Started our day out calmly with Emmy and crew and their morning walk...maybe not to calm.  Then relaxing on the beach...well maybe not so relaxing..."what are we going to do today?  Is today water slides day?  Are we getting ice cream?  Can we fish today?..."

One of those photo ideas I pinned from Pinterest.  Nailed it!

Trevor surfing...well, sorta.  A very angry ocean today!

I've fallen and I can't get up!

Trevor still trying.

Hey Peep this one is for you.

Lisa Reid, do you see someone else in this picture?  Who sleeps like this in his chair?

Some of us got a little too much sun yesterday so we wore shirts today.  Not to worry we have enough Aloe lotion to sink a battleship!  I spent most of the day in the hammock reading...finished one book!

Then there is the feeding of he gulls.  Our neighbors probably hate us but we have so much fun.  This year I got them to eat out of my hand.  They peck just a little bit harder than the chickens do.

This white headed one was Alaire's favorite.  She kept trying to make sure he got one.  We went through about a half of a large container of cheese balls.

We had a little excitement on the beach.   It is a very involved story about our neighbors getting stuck in a cross current being unable to get back in from the other side of the sandbar.  I was reading and heard their blood curdling screams for help.  Scary!  Everyone was rescued and taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Peep, Wyatt is enjoying a strawberry ice cream from Beaches and Cream.

Denise, this passion flower was just growing in an abandoned field...they were all over the place.  No seed pouches to be found.

A little geocaching under the bridge.

Our contribution to the box for the next finders.

 Found it!

Treasure blurry for a very good reason...we don't want to recipient to actually see it.

New tradition started this year...surf fishing.  Every morning and every evening the 'googans' show up and camp out in the area behind our beach house.  You can't swim there because they are fishing.  Tonight we were the googans.  Only problem...we were the only people on the beach and that was probably a really good thing.

My sister gave us the poles.  Pappy went to the Bait and Tackle shop and bought all we needed.  And the rest is history!  Ellis got to use the knife my dad gave him to cut the shrimp into pieces.

Trevor was my wing mad.  He had to squeeze all the little things open on the leader so I could put on the hooks and weights.

Cassie got to be a holder.  And she was so very excited about it!

Getting instructions fro the old man of the sea.  Who got them from the rally old man of the sea...Papaw.

Oh ye of little faith!

More instructions.

Testing...testing...

Finally some actual fishing!

Hambone!

And look who caught a shark!

Ellis has already said that after his sunrise walk he will be fishing!  I see lots of fishing in our future.  At least until the bag of shrimp (that's our secret) is gone.
