Playing Boomerang Catch-Up

We got word from Cassie, Ellis and Alaire that boomerang might be a few days late getting to us from the North Pole this year.  Sneak and Noel, the elves that watch over the Oakes household, let Ellis and Alaire know that Boomerang had a bad cold and was going to have to stay in bed a few more days to get well.  But right on schedule December 1, Boomerang found his way back to us.  I think he might have changed his ways from being a naughty little elf like he was last year.

I guess when you are an elf you have lots of relatives and they would have to live all over the world.  And they are lots of children that need to be 'looked after' during the Christmas season.  And how appropriate that Michael would get a really cool puzzle of the Eiffel Tower in Paris...a place that he has always said that he would like to visit.

Just hanging around.

A friend just his size.

The weather here has been crazy warm...we have forsythia blooming in the front yard!  Boom must have needed a little cool off.

Hanging out in the pocket of Wammy's apron on the basement door...just checking out all the goings on.  And the funniest thing happened.  Sneak and Noel must have flown by in the night Boom was here because he was in the same place for two days.  We figure that they were continuing their little game of freeze tag.  Boomerang had already tagged Sneak and Noel a few days before.  Those silly little elves!

Mark and Michael have been having movie night one night a week when Mark is off.  They have watched two of the Lord of the Rings movies and got to go to The Hobbit on the opening day.  So Boomerang decided to see what movies Emmy had on the DVR.

Looks like he might have watched superman, or maybe Spiderman, or maybe even The Titanic.

Christmas cards are starting to trickle in so he now has a ring side seat to check out all the cards.

He is on top of the tree in the living room keeping watch over all the sleeping babies and dogs.

Wonder what kind of conversation they are having?

Now that the computer and printer are back up and working I think he thinks that we might be taking lots more pictures.  He wants to make sure that he is in the next photo shoot.

Only seven more days of elf duty.  I hope he can continue to be a good little elf!

I sure did miss the big guy while he was AWOL.
