World's Longest Yard Sale

I can say that we learned that the last day has it's ups and downs...not so much traffic, great prices but not a lot of stuff!  But we had a blast anyway!

No only is there tons and tons of yard sale stuff to sort thru...the plants and building are pretty cool too.

Emmy took a pic of all of us.  And I found out that for every picture Michael could 'photo bomb' he got a dollar.

You just never know.....

One of my favorite places to stop...somewhere in KY, over the big hill, on the right, on top of the hill in the front yard of a house that lets their chickens run free.  I think Donna may have had a little run in with one.

This little girl tried to sell us her brand new puzzle for $4.  Emmy opted to help her put it together!  It must have been 105 on the concrete.  We were melting!

I have a lot of favorite spots that I like to stop but this is by far my new number one place to stop.

And this is my new best friend...you won't believe the story...I didn't know about it until we got back in the car.  All I  know was that I finally found a tree for my bottles and some flowers made of spoons and I got a FREE dragon fly made out of knives.  Not a bad stop.

Betsy and her sister, MaryLou checking out the crafts.  We decided that we could probably DIY these for a lot less then she was selling them for.  So we have a shot so we can remember what they looked  like.

Last top for this trip....I found two blenders for $1 here last year.  But nothing this year.

What a trooper!  As long as he has something to play, read, eat, and drink he is a happy camper.

Emmy's big find....a 1940's juicer...that works!

Donna, the crafty lady, found all sorts of wreaths, baskets and a bottle tree.  Somehow I believe that some or all of this will end up as some cool decoration at church.

Betsy probably had the widest variety of finds...placemats, a peach basket, children's books, and Amish cookbook (that I might just have to borrow), cake tine, silver plates and a flower made of spoons for the garden.

MaryLou was worn out and sporting a pretty good headache.  She bought tons of things with chickens/roosters on them.  Her kitchen decor.

I came right home and the first thing I did was put my blue bottles on the tree.  I LOVE IT! Might just have to plant a forest of them...all different colors would be pretty cool.

Let's see...vintage quilting squares, a peach basket, 5 wooden spools, an interesting salt and pepper holder...one that you can put your fingers in to pinch the salt...you know like all the famous chefs/good cooks do....a star for Ms Renee and floating airline trays for the kids to use in the pool on WackADo Wednesdays this year.

My spoon flower.  Can anyone tell me how they put these together?  However it is done, I need to learn how to do it.

We have already decided that next year we want to make it to the TN border. We made it almost to Dry Ridge< KY all on RR 127. We might just have to make a weekend of it.  I don't think we are going to be able to talk Michael in to it.
