The Ellis Tree Removal Services

First you find a half dead tree in your back yard.

Then you call in all the Ellis MEN...

...which are supervised by the Ellis women.

Then you send the seasoned tree climber up the tree to begin cutting the limbs.

At some point your neighbor feels bad for you and brings over his chain saw.

But while up on the ladder we all feel more safe with the manual cutters.

Pappy develops a plan or two.

Michael is in charge of cutting small limbs for the campfire.

Notching the tree so it falls away from the house, pergola and hot tub.

Trying to figure out how to cut the limb that has taken up residence on the cable line.

Trimming away the small stuff.

Second big limb coming down.

The Plan...Mark and Bryce hold on to the rope and guide the biggest part of the tree in between the pergola and the hosta bed...while I cut the trunk with the chainsaw.

This is what is left that we are going to cut down all but about 6 inches where we hope to find something really cool to plant some flowers in.  In addition there will be two new burning bushes behind the stump.

And we all lived to tell about it with only minor scrapes.  And Emmy had dinner waiting!
