Michael and I went to the Barnes&Noble in Field's Ertel last week to pick up my box of books.  And if you look real close you will see that the book has a special cover.  Love it.

We, the volunteers, are to seek out light or non-readers.  There are several ways to do this.  We are to be creative.  One lady is going to Dunkin' Donuts for one hour.  She posted on FB that she would be there and people can come and claim one of her twenty books until they are all gone.  I don't think it will take too long.

I am choosing to select people that I know will love the book and then classrooms that don't have lots of resources to buy books.

I guess in some what this will fulfill my dream of someday having a little school bus full of books and snacks that I would drive into the back hollows in the mountains of WV to read to children and open up their minds and imaginations and make then lovers of books and reading.

So today before nap time we will begin with chapter number one.
