Opening Day 2012

On a last minute whim  Michael and I put on all of our Reds attire and headed downtown with all the other Reds fans...a first for us.

A pic from my phone as we stake out our little square on the sidewalk.

You really can't tell how excited he is but he is giving our little adventure two thumbs up.

Just a little time to wait before the parade starts...well just about an hour.

Our prime seating.

A little mid morning snack.  And he walked a half a block down the middle of the street to get it.  He was so proud of himself.  believe me when I say this is big.

These officers were incredible!  They are incredible riders.

Barry Lemon, this one is for you!

Very impressive

Our Mayor

Look who found us!  Bryce had a ticket to the game but spent some time with us at the parade.  By the look on Bryce's face something smelled bad.  But that is not the case....I think he just needs to wear his glasses all the time.

Cassie and Sarah...can you believe this?

I'd vote him in!

This was so crazy.  Wish I could have gotten a front shot!

Maybe next year we can ride in the stagecoach.

Hey Ellis and Alaire...do you remember this lady from last year at the Old West Fest?  I hope she finally found her little lost cow.

And I remember him...the sword swallower.

These guys were a scream.  They had regular old push mowers.  then they took it up a notch with a little routine of crisscross and back and forths.  Too fun!

There were over two hundred units...boys and girls clubs, scouts, dogs, dogs and more dogs, cats, horses, clowns, jump rope teams, unicycle teams, puppets, little kids, big kids...a fun day...a two hour plus parade!  Can't wait for next year!

The Reds beat the Mariners 4-0 with record breaking crowd cheering them on.
