The Fun Friday That Wasn't

This would be a first (of many I am to assume, firsts that it not the first of many not Fun Fridays) and Fun Friday with no participants. I could let all that planning and gathering of stuff go to waste...so we had a Teriffic Thursday.

Complete with a morning with Pappy before gets ready work.

We got to get out our Art Boxes, complete with scissors now.  A little decorating of a bunny for our egg bags.

And look who is thrilled to have markers and paper.

The weather decided for us that we should have an egg hunt inside.

Doodles finds a purple egg.

Now...here's a new one.  "Boiled" eggs that are actually baked in the oven.

dWe cut off pieces of tissue paper and glues then onto the eggs with a mixture of water and glue.

Lots of concentration and hard work.

Doodles painted more glue and water than tissue paper.

Finished products drying in a jar.

It is hard to color with two band aids on your fingers.

Concentration at its best.

He thinks he is as big as the girls.

Then after all that inside excitement we headed outside.  I was on my way to Andy and Lizzie's house and noticed a new park that looked like fun.

We found it had a little pond.

There was a 1/4 mile trail around the lake.

And an even longer one thru the woods.

Climbers and other fun things to play on.

Several sizes of slides.

Queen of the climbers.

He looks pretty happy to me!

We love the swings.

One mishap and Carter ends up with a big blue and purple bump in his head.

But he is still swinging away.

Then home for lunch and a nap.  Lunch was served in plastic Easter Eggs....complete in the cartons.

Pretty good for a Thursday in Wammyville.  To bad there is no Fun Friday this week  :)
