It's All Jan's Fault...The One In California

I got a tag a week or so ago and just now have had a minute to myself to really sit and think about what I want to post.  The idea is to post 11 things about us that you might not know.  Hmmmm?  It might end up being TMI.

There are only six rules...

1.  Post these rules.
2.  Post 11 random things about yourself.
3.  Answer the questions sent for you in the original post.
4.  Create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
5. Notify the people that you are tagging.
6.  No saying, "If you are reading this you are tagged."

1.  Mark and I were both born at the same hospital in Huntington, only he was born in 1952 and I was        born in 1954.  Do the math...we are almost senior citizens.
2.  Both of us are the oldest children of the family.
3.  Mark weighted almost 13 pounds!  And I almost weighed 3 pounds!
4.  We grew up on opposite sides of town.  He went to the 'other' high school and I went to the best high school in town!
5.  We met my first semester in college at Marshall University in 1972.  Two weeks into the semester on a blind date...set up by one of my good friends from elementary school.  It just happened to be on my dad's birthday.
6.  Three years later we were married and on our way to our honeymoon at Disney World.
7.  In 1979 we were blessed with an unexpected bundle...a set of twins (Cassie and Emmy) weighing in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and 7 pounds 9 ounces...folks, that 15 and 1/2 pounds of baby!  Unexpected because the doctor said it was going to be one big boy!  And they were a month past the due date!
8.  1982 we were again blessed (Bryce) with a boy weighing in at 7 pounds 15 ounces.
9.  1990 we packed the family van and moved to Cincinnati for the first time.  There we decided that God wanted us to care for more children so we chose to provide foster care.  Several children came to us but our first placement (Sarah) never left.  She became an official member of the family a few years later.  We lived in OH for 10 years.
10. 2000 we packed up the van again and headed for Wisconsin.  Again children were placed in our care.  That is when Michael came to live with us...when he was 5 days old.  He never left either.  We lived there for six years and were lucky enough to be transferred back to OH...closer to home in WV.
11.  We have also been blessed with a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law and two of the funniest grand kids on the planet. (Ellis and Alaire)

Now here are the questions from Jan...

1.  What is your favorite type of music?     Contemporary Christian and preschool songs and piano

2.  Who has had the biggest influence in your life other than you spouse?     That's a hard one but I would have to say all the people that have loved me thru all the churches we have been members of.  Each of them in their special way has helped me to become the person I am today.

3.  If you had a time machine which era would you venture to?  You might think I am crazy but pioneer times.  I think I could make it in a log cabin with fields of crops and a bunch of dirty kids running around.

4.  What was you favorite vacation?  Another hard one...Dale Hollow Lake when I was young...Myrtle Beach with friends when the kids were small...Canada with my Dad and sister and her family....Hawaii with Mark.

5.  What is your favorite book?  Would you rather read a physical book or use an e-reader?  Again I can not choose one.  We have a tradition at Christmas.  We take turns reading The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  Of Mice and Men,  The Acorn People, and The Mark of the Lion Series.   And I would rather be able to smell a book and turn the pages that read from an e-reader.  Guess I am just old fashioned that way.

6.  Have you ever talked to a famous person?  Does Ree Drummond count? Red Skeleton

7.  What color are your nails today?  Natural..no polish just plain natural dig in the dirt fingernails.

8.  What is your favorite season?  Anytime you can wear a hoodie!

9.  Have you ever gone on a motorcycle ride?  Driver or co-pilot? Yes in high school one time and I was the co-pilot.  And I must confess I was scared to death!

10.  Have you ever shot a gun?  Yes while rabbit hunting.

11.  What is the weirdest question you have even been asked?  One that Aunt Kate will never live down..."Which way is up?"

Now I am tagging three people:  Please don't be upset, I had to pick three and you are the only real people bloggers I know.
 Sabrina
Leigh Ann
Mary Shannon

And here are your questions ladies.

1.  If you could have a do-over what would it be?
2.  When do you feel the most out of place?
3.  Automatic or stick shift?
4.  What makes you laugh out loud?
5.  What makes you cry?
6.  What is your favorite memory from your youth?
7.  If you saw someone being bullied would you step in?
8.  What is something that made you say hmmmmm?
9.  If you could have anything for dinner what would it be?
10. When have you been the most proud of yourself?
11.  All time favorite snack while watching a movie?
