Sinfully Delicious And Then Some!

Monday I turned on the TV to see what the cast of the TODAY Show would be dressed like for Halloween.  We watched while we played and painted.  Then we got busy doing laundry (yes, I have the little yahoos sorting laundry and throwing it in the washer...and they also help with hanging it  on the rack to dry) and when we came back in the room to clean up so we could go outside to play, Rachael Ray was on.  Buddy, The Cake Boss, was her special Monday co-host.  Everyone was in costume and they got to talking about what to do with all the trick-or-treat candy.  Buddy says that their kids help make 'Candy Bar Pies'.  Sounded pretty good so I talked Michael into sharing a few of his candy bars...he thinks we bought some of them at the grocery store tonight...we did but some came from his stash.  The recipe is soooooo simple!  Our house smelled like the Nestle's Factory in Burlington, WI.  Absolutely, hands down I know that I could win a blue ribbon at the State Fair with this simple recipe!

CANDY BAR PIE
One store bought pic crust
All kinds of chocolate candy

I poked a few holes in the crust.  Then baked it for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.  Then we piled it high (like overflowing with candy bars because when they melt the filling will shrink and settle.)  We used Reese's peanut butter cups. Baby Ruth's and Snicker's.  You can use as many different kinds as you want.  Just make sure that there is some gooey candy to hold everything together.  Bake for another 30-40 minutes.  And ta-da you have your award winner!  FYI...make sure you have a BIG glass of ice cold milk handy.

Literally the best thing I have ever put in my mouth!

Jan, Daniel is drooling over the picture of candybar pie. He mentioned how easy it would be to make it.. like it was a hint or something. I enjoyed looking at all of your fun friday pictures and captions.
