Our First Thanksgiving
Well, it is a long story and I will shorten it by saying tonight we had a 'Thanksgiving dinner because all of us were able to be in one place at the same time. By all of us I mean 12 people and 6 dogs. Oh my goodness it could have been a reality show. Then we added Luke, who just happened to be here when dinner was ready. Then Ms Renee came over to take our family pictures but ended up leaving because Jon Padial AKA Porky, his wife and two yahoos came to share hot chocolate out of my Polar Express mug. To say that it was loud and crazy would be an understatement. I think the grand total is now 16 and 6. Holy Cow! And somehow it also got turned into yet another 'family' birthday party for Ellis. I think Ms Renee had to go home and taken some medication to calm her nerves. Sorry Mr Renee.
Jonathan ended up being out photographer. Plan A was to have the family and dogs gather at the Promont House in Old Milford for the 'photo shoot'. The weather did not cooperate at all. And it got dark before we finished dinner. Plan B...move some furniture in the living room and do the best that we an. Jon took about 150 shots and these are the best. Some of us are not too photogenic, Some of us hate having our pictures taken. Some of us have slits for eyes when we try to smile. Some of us were tired. Some of us just wanted to get it over with. Jon thank you for putting up with all of us.

We are now discussing how to make the dining room bigger...take out the wall between the kitchen and living room or just add one more space out to the back side of the house. We only had to put two of the four leaves in the table. I used an old quilt top I found the other day for a table cloth. We used the china that we collected for a garden party last year, and we drank for canning jars.
Here we all are, one big happy smiling family...that lasted for about 5 minutes.
And here we are the beginnings of the Ellis Family.
Now with the son-in law, Trevor Oakes and daughter-in-law, Tini (April Martini)
And we surly can not forget the two best grand kids on the planet, Ellis and Alaire.
Peep and his traveling companion, Stitch.
Our Ella Bella
The Oakes and their new dog, Maddie
Bryce and Tini with their crew, Tobi, Parker and Seau
Sarah with her little buddy, Charlie.
Family photos brought to you by Jonathan Padial affectionately known and Porky.
