One Great Day

This is how it all started...all smiles!  Check out the matching outfits.  And she thought she was really something.

Michael finished another book.  He is so excited I showed him that the movie is coming out in November around Thanksgiving.  Bet it is one that we will be seeing.  You will have to check out his blog in a few days when he 'does a book report' on it.  That is what he calls writing a blog entry about a book.  You can find his blog over on the right side bar of this blog.  He is the one holding the book...

It was a great day to be outside for sure.  We wasted no time getting out after breakfast.  And another great thing about today...Michael and Luke had no school.  They had a sleepover at Luke's last night, which is always fun.

We took a walk hoping to find some really small pine cones.  No luck there.  But we did find a creek....

a bridge...

and a wall.

Love these three boys

And these three  yahoos.

We raked a few leaves.

Actually we rakes a lot of leaves and there are still a lot left.  All of this fun before lunch.

Then Kelli and Trevor showed up with cheese coneys for all of us for lunch.  So we had a little cheese coney picnic under the pergola in the backyard.

At last count I think she had two and a half.

You gotta love you a cheese coney!

Carter not so much.  He was happy with his packed lunch...yogurt being the best thing on earth, 'cause he gets to do it all by himself.

Do you see anything strange or different in this shot?  Notice the little girl and then take a look at those huge shoes.  Not mentioning any names....but she wore Michael old tennis shoes all day.  She loved it, didn't care one bit and he was more than happy to share.

The boy loves finding any kind of ball that we have.  Then he carries it around all day long.

Even teh dogs got to be outside all day.  Ella has just figured out that we have a rabbit in our mist.  She didn't take her eyes off of Caramel the whole time she was outside.  Now she is quite but before this shot she was barking her head off.

Doodles hooking her best friend, Jaden, up with a little swinging time.

While the little ones we napping, thank heavens they all slept today, Luke and Michael (mostly Luke), set up an obstacle course all over the entire backyard.

And they loved it!

Sure hope that tomorrow is a repeat of today.  Weather wise at least.  The boys have to go back to school tomorrow and I don't think they are too thrilled about that.
