Fun Friday #5

The Fun Friday that almost wasn't is how I would describe our week.  It was so close.  We are going to  up the numbers of stars per week to four stars instead of three.  Because the three year old is smarter than the Wammy...'if I get three stars at the beginning of the week I don't need any more stars on Thursday and Friday'.
We have decided to have a little Halloween Party with Emmy and her kids in two weeks.  So that means that we have to get busy making decorations.  So today we marble painted spider webs.  There are no pictures of the actually process because it was all hands on deck.  You have a box lined with newspaper.  Add marbles or anything that will roll to some white paint.  Add a piece of black paper to the box and then rock and roll the balls around until you have a pretty good spider web.  Let the paint dry and then cut out spider web shapes.  The really look super on the walls!  Pics later.

My 'marbles' are actually wooden balls that Betsy just knew I would find something to do with.  Yep, she was right.  Carter just likes them because they are balls.

Then the real fun started...real paints on orange paper.  I think Carter ended up with more on him than his paper.  I ended up putting everyone in the laundry sink to get them cleaned up.

He thought he was big stuff!  Check out the black paint in his ear...I have no clue how and when it got there.

Allyson is such the artist.  Very methodical in her painting.

And Doodles is the free spirit painter.

After painting we had a little science lesson about spiders and their eight legs.

Allyson's spider ended up with two yellow eyes, 'two boobies' and a belly button...which she thought was hilarious!

We were  just happy that Doodle's ended up with all eight of her legs.

We decided that Carter and I would share a spider.

He loved it and it still has all of its body parts.

After a field trip to Michael's school for the Walk-A-Thon we headed home for a shot nap and then a special snack.

Allyson has asked all week if we could have pretzels with little marshmallows on the ends for our Fun Friday snack.  So today was the day.  I stuck one in the straw on their straw bowls and they thought that was the greatest thing on earth.

Keep your fingers crossed for a good week next week.  Four stars will be a challenge.  What might be even a bigger challenge....the week that someone has to sit out of Fun Friday.  That will not be pretty.
