Alaire's Birthday Day

Don't you just love the cupcakes?  Alaire picked them out one day and told Cassie that was what she wanted for her birthday.  So Cassie, Emmy, Molly and I went to work.  We had a hard time finding the right candy for the rainbow so we had to come up with our own.  After several different attempts these were the ones that we decided would be the best to use.  We rolled out laffy taffy and cut it into strips.  (And if I don't tell you it was all Emmy's idea I know that she will hack into this and tell you herself, so there)

Every princess needs a birthday throne...it was the best we could do at the last minute.

Who cares...by the look on her face she thinks it is the most wonderful birthday throne ever made.

She is ready to get this party started!

What four year old asks for a pink curling iron?  This one!

Not sure why the pretty princess is looking like someone ate the last cupcake?  Check out the pink lamp behind her...another special request!

Aunt Sara made the trip and got there just before the party started on Sunday afternoon.  And a pink ribbon like they use in the Olympics was a big hit!

Ellis thinks the world of his Uncle Michael and Uncle Michael thinks being an uncle is pretty cool now.  At first not so much.  Michael got dressed for church and Ellis went and changed clothes so they could look like twins.  And Michael did not seem to care at all.

Four generations....we all look so great because the sun was so bright and right in our eyes.  There was no real looking at the camera.

I think she has him wrapped around her little fingers.

Yep, she know it!
