She's A Trooper!

Seau has come to spend the rest of her days with us...in the quietness on a hill in peaceful surroundings...NOT! Are you kidding me! There are three rug rats (love them all dearly,) a fourth grader and all his loud friends (love them all to death too), not to mention all the other things that are going on. She is doing better than I ever expected and the three yahoos are very good to her. But they are a little concerned with her eye (so are the rest of us). Allyson wants me to put medicine on it because she doesn't like to look at it. But we figure at 19 and  since she shows no signs of any pain why put her through any surgery. So she just plugs along. Happy as can be.  She has just a touch of selective hearing.  Can't hear you when you call her but just open a Reese's cup and she comes running.

Really, don't feel too sorry for her. She has special dog food that she loves. Has treats out the wazoo daily. Has a nice comfortable kennel right beside the backdoor for quick exits to the grass at 4:30 AM, and all the lovin' she can handle. She seems spunky. Gets around just fine, except for that occasional bump into the wall or door that she can't see. There is nothing wrong with her coordination or sense of smell. Just this week she managed to open the pantry door and get a box of vanilla wafers. Well, at least she shared them with Ella Bella. The other morning,  in the dark, she chased something down the driveway.  One bad thing Ella had given her...Seau has be bark back.  She sounds like she had the croup.  We just keep plugging along one day at a time.
