Getting Bunny Ready
We are getting ready for a new addition to the family...a Mt. Adams bunny. Strange name you say? I thought so to but there is a story behind it.....
One day last week Betsy came to sew and in our conversations she started to tell me a story of a little white bunny with a brown stripe down it's back. Seems that in Mt. Adams the have wild 'domestic' bunnies running around. I guess they either get lose from their hutches or they are left when a family moves or decides that they no longer want a bunny. According to Betsy is is calm and very sweet. So Michael and I (Mark helps too) are getting ready for the arrival early next week.

We checked prices of the two places that we knew sold hutches...Miller Brother's (Amish made) or the store across the street from Lowe's in Hillsboro. Mark likes this one and I love it, especially the tin roof. One thing missing is the box for our bunny to sleep in. We should be able to pick that up before 'it' comes.
Michael and i stained it with the same stain that we stained the barn with. It was about 110 degrees and the humidity was out the roof.
I finished up coat number one while Michael went in and did a little research about the care of rabbits.
So Monday we will be heading out to pick up all the supplies. Be sure to check Michael's blog in a few days to see a pic of our new baby and see what we chose for a name.
