A Little Light Reading

Michael loves to read...not like his brother and sisters.  Give him  a good book and he is lost for hours.  The world to exploded and he would never know it.  I love that!  He had read several other book this summer but it was his goal to read the entire Narnia Collection.  He finished yesterday!  Two days before the book was due at the library, too.

Mark promised he would give him a dollar for every book he read.  let me rephrase that for the first book he got $1  for the second book, $2...and on down the line.  I think there were seven in the series.  So if you do the math  it added up to $36. (Emmy was a little upset with this set up.  She said that was like giving him money...he likes to read.  Why couldn't she get money for sleeping?) Now if you know Michael you know that he will shop Target, Wal-Mart and the Internet to find the best prices on Legos.  Right now he loves Ninjago.  So this morning even before I got up he was dressed, with wallet in hand, ready to go to Target.  I talked him into 10AM.

227 pieces and less that 30 minutes later we have in our collection...The Earth Dragon.  And one happy camper.

I am hoping that he will blog about this on his blog later today.

FYI..next book Swiss Family Robinson.  And unless his Dad makes a deal with him...there will be no money involved.
